Protesters gathered in Los Angeles California in front of the Israeli counsalte on Monday to denounce an Israeli raid of an aid flotilla that left at least nine dead.

Demonstrators met at 4 p.m. in front of the counsalate.
Organizers called Israel's actions against ships taking humanitarian aid to the blockaded Gaza Strip "shocking and tragic."

"Our hope is for the US, which has the most leverage with Israel, to push Israel more towards recognizing the rights of the Palestinian people, and engage more seriously with the peace process," said Mazen Al Mokdad, of the Palestine right to return coalition (Al-Awda).
